Hello dear friends of Frida Enamorada
Today we want to share Mag and Pita's wedding, a beautiful wedding that has us very inspired and in love with weddings made with so much dedication. Mag is a wedding photographer and Pita is a graphic designer and illustrator, and together they are an exceptional couple who knew from the beginning they didn’t want a traditional wedding. Pita dreamed of a wedding where there would be lots of beer and tacos de cochinita and Mag just wanted to dance and celebrate until dawn as if it were a festival or a concert, so they got down to work and created the wedding of their dreams.
Because of the pandemic they were forced to postpone their wedding date several times and reduce the number of guests, but that was not an obstacle to celebrate the wedding they dreamed of. They decided to rent a house by the sea on Airbnb and celebrate with their family and close friends, but the most beautiful thing about Mag and Pita's wedding was the affection and love that everyone brought to the wedding. Mag and her dad took care of the papel picado and the lights, and Mag took care of the flowers that she cut and dried at her house for several days and that served as centerpieces for the tables. Friends and colleagues contributed by carrying pots, planting cactus and setting up chairs. Mag's family cooked the food days before in the traditional way in wood-burning ovens, this way the experience began days before for many of the guests. The bride's mother prepared traditional snacks and together they all contributed a little to help them have the wedding of their dreams.
We leave you with these photos by the talented Xico Gutierrez so you too can fall in love with this wedding like we did!
This beautiful wedding reminds us what is really important in a wedding and what is the main reason for it: love. And above all, it teaches us that we have to adapt to situations and not let anything stop us from achieving what we want. Pandemic weddings are a clear example of this.
