In this painting, Frida is located at the center to enhance her presence. It highlights the fact that she takes what it looks like Jesus Christ's thorn crown and uses it as a necklace, with a dead hummingbird that simulates Frida's eyebrows. Over her left shoulder there's a black cat that seems to stalk the corpse of the hummingbird; and on the right side there’s a monkey which was a gift from Diego Rivera.
The color combo that Frida used in this painting gives it a mood that is perfect for a summer wedding with the freshness that create the green tones and the sky blue together.
