Dressden & Jesse // A magical wedding ceremony in Oaxaca, Mexico
Today we have an spectacular wedding with all of you. Dresden and Jesse is a couple from Denver who decided to elope and have a magic ceremony in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Dresden and Jesse met 9 years ago through a common friend and for 6 years they've been traveling the world together. They always knew they wanted to elope. At first they thought in doing it under the Colorado mountains, but when they thought more about it, getting married in their own State didn't sound as excited as escaping somewhere else. If they made it locally then they had to invite all their family and friends, and that's exactly what they didn't want.
A little time after that some friends from Colorado invited them to spend Christmas and New Year in Mexico City and Oaxaca, so being there Jesse suggested to get married while in Oaxaca, and everybody loved the idea.
Their favorite part was exploring around the city with their photographer, the very talented Fer Juaristi, and being photographed in all the emblematic spots as the Ethnobotanical Garden, the church from Santo Domingo Guzmán, the Museum of the Cultures of Oaxaca and all the other amazing spots from this magical city.
The ceremony was a traditional Zapotec ceremony in gardens of the Hotel Azul Oaxaca, which was officiated in spanish and zapoteca by a marriage shamans. It was an authentic spiritual ceremony where both perfectly understood every feeling and emotion without the need of translation.
We hope you enjoy this amazing gallery!
